I’m Putting In My Notice

…my two-week notice that is. When you’re a stay at home mom, who do you formerly notify when you go back to work? I have been thinking about this a couple of weeks now and being that I’m a blogger I thought it would be appropriate to write a little post about it in my silly attempt to put in my “notice.” 🙂

I know how much of a blessing it was to be able to stay at home with Gentry for 20 months… (even more if you count my rough pregnancy on disability!) As of August 10th, I will no longer be a Stay at Home Mama. For too many reasons than I could list here (and will hopefully be able to sprinkle the reasons out in future blog posts), I made the decision to go back to work. I am lucky enough to have a Husband that has a unique work schedule so that Gent will only be in daycare part-time. But still, it will hurt having my little man being cared for by someone other than me every day.

I am hopeful and I already see the positive things that this decision has brought into our lives.

I am also excited to see the blog grow. To have ever MORE content to share with you all from very different perspectives on a personal level and hopefully able to shed some light on this new away-from-home-mom-life. I’m positive there are many Mamas that are in my shoes or will be in the future! The transition from seeing my little one every second of the day into a working mom and allowing him to explore new things and make new friends; I’ll get to blog about all of that.

What does this mean for my shops and brands I collaborate with? There will be a slight time delay as I get organized and situated in my new schedule the month of August. So there may be a delay in returning emails and postings within this next month. This blog isn’t going away, in fact I will have more time to work on this blog (a huge plus) with my new role. I will also be seeking out new companies as well on things that will help me transition into this new role and with Gentry now in Daycare 3 days a week. If you feel your product/brand fits into this, don’t hesitate to reach out to me! [email protected]

I have created a new blog category for all postings related to this… Properly titled “Workin’ Mama” and you will find these in the “Top Posts” under my menu.

Thank you to all my of my readers and social media following… I truly appreciate you all and will need your loving support as well during this time!

xoxo,

The Sentimental Mama
