Recreating Baby Pictures

Recreating Your Baby Pictures as Mama

I’ve moved… a LOT in my 30 year life and amongst all the moving, I got rid of almost everything I own each time I relocated. But through it all there is one thing that I have been able to hang onto for all these years, which are my pictures. Pictures from when I was born, through toddler years (which are few and far between) and some through my childhood along with the years leading up to when digital cameras enter the picture {no pun intended}… and well… photos sorta become extinct after that. 😀 I have duplicates, faded images, ripped, torn, and just plain bad photography pictures. And I love them. All of them.

I don’t know what got to me but when I was in the hospital recovering from my C-Section, I remembered a picture of my Mother holding me in the hospital when I was just born. I told my Husband to snap a picture of me in the same pose. I loved the way it turned out. It seemed to bring everything full circle to me. I continued doing this throughout my Son’s past 6 months of life because the poor kid looks like his Mama when she was a baby. I hope these pictures inspire you to do the same. I’d love to see your recreations! Find me on Instagram as well, as I continue this reflecting as a Mama through little squared images.
