“Learn to Brush” with Gentry – The Best Training Toothbrush! {a MAM Review + Giveaway}
Who knew that there was more than “just a toothbrush” available to parents? Or what about the fight you have to endure while you are showing your little squirt how to brush their teeth properly? I have found the solution to ease your baby into toddlerhood with the easiest Learn to Brush set from MAM!
The following review was completed in exchange for product. All opinions are my own.
When Gentry was born, he was born with a birth defect on his gum line. You may have seen some images lately that it looks like he is already missing a tooth! Well, be forewarned, he absolutely has a tooth there but his birth defect is preventing it from moving down for now. He has been under a Pediatric Dentist watch since about 9 months old. One issue that has arose from this defect is the difficulty we have had teaching Gentry how to brush. There just isn’t a lot of room in his tiny bite and with an extra frenulum it makes it even more difficult (think of it as an extra lip tie for those of you that are well verses with lip and tongue ties.)
So I was very excited to try out a new solution other than just a normal toothbrush. MAM’s Learn To Brush Set offers TWO different toothbrushes and THREE different ways to use them to assist us parents in this learning phase.
The first tooth brush is a pretty long toothbrush. Why the extra length? It is for the parents! The parents hand easily holds the brush as the child is able to hold it too. This makes for easier access to all the teeth with little hands being in the mix as well.
The next step would be the smaller toothbrush with the safety shield. This step allows your tot to be able to learn to brush their teeth without parents help. The safety guard is placed on the toothbrush so the kido doesn’t accidentally put the toothbrush too far down.
The last and final step is the smaller toothbrush without the safety shield!
Gentry is currently in the second step or phase. He is learning to brush his teeth independently with the safety shield. I have noticed that toothbrushing time is less stressful for me and for little Gent. He lets me grab a hold of the toothbrush to assist him because that is what we were doing since day one with the first step brush.
So let me break it down for you a little bit more. Here are some cool things I personally found about this product that I loved:
- BPA Free
- Developed with Dentists
- Fun, simple, modern colors (Teal Green, Yellow,Green, Pink & Purple)
- Ages 6+ months
- Soft bristles
- Bristles don’t shred
- When Gent was smaller, he was able to “chew” on the other end of the brush to massage his gums
- Made by a trustworthy brand
So I thought it would be a great idea to include some oral care Fact Sheet and some Tips & Tricks from MAM along with this MAM Learn to Brush Set review! Click the images below to download your own .pdf copy!
